If you have 30% damage resistance from resilience then the 60% from woven mail applies to the reduced damage due to resilience, not the base damage. So if you take 10 damage it is reduced to 7 by resilience (.7x10), then reduced to 2.8 by woven mail (.4x7), which equates to roughly 70% damage resistance.
